A Late Left-Fielder

Amazon has gone through quite the transformation since its humble beginning in 1994. A new branch of the internet retailer has been extended to begin development in the video game sector. With quiet yet steady growth, Amazon has formed Amazon Game Studios in 2012, developed a new gaming console, and today announced the acquisition of Double Helix Games. These plays seem reminiscent of the type of expansionism that Google has been practicing for the past decade. I wonder if they'll be as successful, especially considering the rather late entry into the video-gaming industry. They do have hope, though, considering the many markets that they have successfully entered into--especially considering their Kindle readers.
